About Endo-Cases

My name is Raphael, I am a medical doctor based in Switzerland with a strong passion for medical education and problem-based learning. After completing my training in endocrinology, I am now pursuing specialization in internal medicine.

From early on, I have been drawn to systematic and structured approaches that can be applied directly to clinical practice. During my endocrinology training, I noticed that such a structured resource was missing—particularly one tailored to the complexity of endocrine disorders. This gap inspired me to start thinking about how learning in endocrinology could be made more practical, consistent, and clinically useful.

About Me
My Mission

While preparing for the board exam, I realized that what I needed most was a resource that mirrored real-life clinical practice; one that follows patients from their first presentation through to follow-up, while offering a structured way to approach any endocrine problem.

To address this, I adapted the traditional components of a medical consultation, history, clinical examination, diagnostic reasoning, and management, into a flexible framework that can be applied to almost any endocrine condition, with only minor adjustments for the specific situation. The clinical cases I am developing aim to demonstrate how this framework works in practice, while also sharing key clinical pearls.

To bridge the gap between the basic sciences relevant for clinical practice and the realities of patient care, this resource provides graphical illustrations that make learning visual, engaging, and easier to understand. They turn complex pathways into clear visual logic, supporting practical application rather than dry memorization.

My goal is to make endocrinology more accessible, engaging, and relevant, not only for endocrinologists, but also for clinicians from other specialties and students eager to understand hormones in a clear, applicable way.

Endocases has transformed my learning experience in endocrinology. The clinical cases are insightful and the structured approach is incredibly helpful.
